Should I have kept my mouth shut ?

IMNSHO one will get over gunshop sweeps after a couple visits to a public range.

I'm thinking of clearing out the gun safes a bit, again. Anyone else do this?

I have a few varmint centerfires and a couple deer centerfires. Wonder if I should sell em all and just get a Blaser R8 with 2 barrels ;)

Opinions please... What would be a good long range rifle for targets shooting.

You can get started with anything. As you progress youll want to change things. Even on my .22lr cheapy Savage, the SWFA 12x went bye bye due to glass quality. The Leupold Freedom 6-18x is better, but the turrets suck. So now im looking at a Nightforce. Its silly, as I dont compete. But Im...

Increased volume of shooting, so .22lr or .223. 12x w good turrets also a starter. Am anti chinesium which limits options.

      22LR Target rifles

Got a 64 sporter for a hunting rig. Most 11mm rings wont work due to round top receiver. Talleys or maybe get a Recknagel pic rail. Or just machine my Burris Signature rings to work ( relieve in center of bottom )

      2024 Hunting Preparations and Plans

Im gonna sit in the AC and relax. Thats my off season prep. I can't stand bug spray, bugs or heat. Just as soon hibernate end of May til mid October. How in the heck did my buds and I bowfish, hunt chucks (even in the woods) or do 3D archery? Oh yeah, we were young n stupid LOL

      22LR Target rifles

My CZ457 .22 mag is NOT free floated. Trigger still kinda heavy. Half inch at 50 yards w old WW 40gr HP. Is my chuck rig and want to use on fox (if I could ever figure out how to call one in LOL) The Savage MKII TR shoots well, but Im no fan of the Accutrigger. Rifle Basix is another hundred...

      Thompson Center Arms sold

I prefer the look of the older TC frames w the perched mountain lion. The stainless ones had just the "angy cat" face. The silver TC frames w the perched lion are Armor Alloy. For stainless the serial number will have an "S" in it. Of the SSK frames the flat side I think looks best. But Im kind...

Having grown up in this stuff, been at it so long..... am pretty bored/ tired of it. Kids don't shoot/ hunt. Ive slowed way down.

      Scoping a ruger m77

Just an FYI, Ruger has been out of medium gloss offset rings for a while....as have other sellers of Ruger rings. And Leupold doesnt make the offset ring in a gloss medium. Ruger sells their rings individually. Ive needed one (4BO) for a couple months LOL ( For a Ruger Number One ) Dunno...
