Picked up a few Lancer L5's and so far they seem pretty good. The metal feed lip system seems solid and they sure feel easier to load than a P-Mag. Maybe its because 'they're the new thing'. Trying both some 20 and 30 rnd translucent FDE's. Of the 20 rounders, they did seem to slide nicely into the mag well vs. standard P-Mag.

    YMMV

They are very good mags, I’m heavily invested in Pmags because they’re cheap and they work, the AWM’s are close to double what I can get Pmags for so I’m only about 20 deep in them.

They are good to go. Picked up several during brownells sales. You can get 10 packs for around $12 each if you pounce when the deals come up.

Only magazines I run in my LWRC, I like the metal feed lips and how easy it is to check how many rounds are still in the magazine. As others have said you can get them on sale for ~$12 a piece or so so I normally buy 10 at a time

Thats what we found: $12 each on sale for a 6 pack of translucent with free shipping. They sure seem nice so far. I do like being able to easily see how many rnd are left.

Not to dog our P-Mags either.

I use P-Mags for 556, but bought a Ruger SR556TD with the interchangeable barrels (556 to 300BO) about a year ago and have been using the translucent FDE Lancer mags for 300BO and the P-Mags for 556 to avoid chambering a 300 in the 556 barrel. I have had no issues with the Lancers feeding 300 BO and am satisfied with them.

I use the clear & smoke ones exclusively for my 300 BLK & now I hear there's a special version Lancer for 300 blackout. Hmm.

Another thing I like about them over my p-mags is the stripper clip spoons fit better.

I have several in 10 and 30 round versions. The 10 round versions are impossible to insert when fully loaded against a closed bolt. That’s in a Tavor and an AR.

They're good to go. Tough polymer bodies and metal feedlips that won't fail over time ( i have 10 year old pmags that are still good to go though, ymmv).

Translucent is cool for round counts.

I have read many articles and seen many videos that state the Lancers are in their opinion, the best AR mag out there. With the Magpul as 2nd best. Although there are some who debate that.

I have a stack of Magpul's of various generations that have not failed me yet. Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with the Lancers. If I didn't already have a stack of Magpul's, I would buy Lancers.

This is the best deal I could find on them as of tonight...but they are the black ones.

You would need to go here if you want translucent ones...

Translucent FDE, cool! I have no room for additional mags though. Storage is maxed out.
