I never mounted a scope before and wondering if I should take my newly purchased Vortex Diamond scope and rings to Cabela's in Noblesville. I read they mount a scope and do boresight adjustment for free. Thanks in advance to everyone.

My experience there is good. They will boresight the rifle good enough to get you on paper. You will need to adjust from there to dial it in.

Update : Today was my day off and took my rifle, rings, and scope to Cabela's. They did a safety check at the entrance and took my rifle to back room. It took about 20 min for the install. The gentleman who did the installation was really great. He told me why he balanced the rifle on a bipod first then balanced my scope to account for any flex on stock. Over all, excellent service and professionalism.
