A while back I found a small semi rigid ammo holder. Its round, about 6" across, 4" deep, and has velcro on the lid to put a caliber morale patch on it to tell whats inside. The lid is zippered and runs around the edge of the lid so the top flips back out of the way to make it a bowl shape for easy access to the loose rounds.

So who makes it and where do I get it? I cant find it now to save my life.

Found it. Its called a Bang Box. (hint: Do NOT follow the URL by that name when you are at work.)

EDIT: And remembering why I didnt buy one before. They are mighty proud of those things at $32 each. I'll stick with my wide mouth ditty bags I think. (and when empty they take a HELL of a lot less room.

Cant go anywhere on the internet these days...

Does seem a little steep cost wise. Would small Tupperware containers do the same thing? Probably less tacticool but basically the same form.

I saw a small $6.xx softside tackle box at walmart this past weekend that may work for you. It had three plastic boxes that came with it too. I don't see it on their website though.

I got one when I needed to add something for 20%off. IE it ended up costing $5 more with it than without it. Kind of a waste of money if I’m honest. At $5 it’s pretty nice but they don’t hold much in the way of rifle ammo if that’s your flavor. You’re better off leaving it in the box. 9mm works good though.

Got my lens case. Works great. Only wish they had one half as tall. But its still better than my nylon bags.
