Price is the critical fact. It will determine whether this really goes anywhere. If they price in too much of "Aimpoint-ness" then it will flop.

Price just isn't that important to me if it checks all the other boxes
I can say right off the bat from what I have seen from that Aimpoint, we aren't at the answer yet. It appears to be a monster size wise.

You'd think that someone smart would try to put out a red dot for the G42/43... I've seen a number of people with the shield conversions, that it's obviously a market that's being ignored.

Several folks are running the Shield RMS on 43's. It seems to be hold g its own in that mini pistol niche? To date, the RMR is still the standard.

Too big. Won't buy for a pistol.

I'll stick with RMR's or DPP's. That RMS looks awesome, but I'm going to wait a while and let it prove itself or flop before buying.

Yeah, it looks like they missed the idea.

Right, but to run it on a glock, you have get a conversion. There needs to be something dedicated to the platform. I'd be interested in one, I imagine a bunch of others would too.

I like Aimpoint products, I don't mind the size, but the battery life isn't what I'd expect from an Aimpoint product. I'd expect a minimum of 3 years continuous on

Size- I'd like to see it next to an RMR
Battery life- Seems about like RMR but you don't need to remove the sight
    Battery type- negative

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Here is an image I stole from a guy on another forum. Not sure how accurate it is. Size would be ok on a duty or even maybe gaming gun, but where the extra sze is would make quite a pain for concealed EDC imho

From the looks of it I would agree. If the RMR had a battery replacement w/o removing the sight it would be ideal for me. Meh...I'll stick with what I have since I'm use to it.
    Thanks for the pic.

The Leupold Deltapoint Pro is what you seek.

One of the big advantages it appears for the Aimpoint is a sealed emitter. I assume that is why it must be so boxy. That does address one of the drawbacks of the current generation, but at a cost.
