Any experience with this optic? Considering this as opposed to a 1-6 variable... seems shorter and faster in conjunction with a side mounted red dot? Would be for a 9 inch 300 BLK pistol used for competition and hunting... competition-wise the range goes from 5-100 yards, with a lot of close up, so a long variable optic can sometimes be a little slower I think?

Look at what the pro level shooters run, most run a variable power optic (generally 1-6) with a side mounted red dot of some sort. I don't see many running a fixed power optic with a side mounted red dot. Watch some of Taran Tacticals videos if you want to see what a "gamer gun" is set up like.

Any 1-6x favorites that aren't a foot long and over $900 though? I completely agree with your post... trying to not pay a pro level shooter price though... more like a talented hillbilly level shooter price?
