Steel mags from an unknown company? No thanks. I'll stick with my aluminum USGI(preferred) or Magpul. I hear Lancers are good as well.

    Thanks for sharing though. :ingo:

Btw, the ones you got from PSA are probably D&H aluminum mags, NOT STEEL, . Which are good.

They are Korean mags, SHK I believe is the maker. I've been testing them lately. They feed, the spring seems to be stronger than most AR magazines, I've tried to bind them up with reloads, but they have fed reliably so far...they are heavier. Not a bad deal for the price.

That sounds familiar. I believe you’re correct. Will test them whenever ammo is available again

So I got these in the mail today and they don't seat in my AR...lol wtf

    Edit....

Took 1 round out and not it's a really tight fit. So technically I guess these are 29 round magazines lol....I think if I took 2 rounds out they'd fit easier.

I also weighed these vs some other mags loaded with the same rounds I had (loaded with 30 rounds each despite now only being able to load 29)

Fully Loaded Steel - 19.85 oz
Fully Loaded Aluminum - 15.85 oz
Fully Loaded Hexmag (plastic) 16.25 oz
Fully Loaded Magpul M2 (plastic) 16.50 oz

I got mine today. They will seat with 29 like you said. The quality looks better than I expected. For 7 bucks I'm happy.

Yeah they do seem very durable. I am not too worried about the extra weight as they are kinda there for an extremely bad situation where I hope to never find myself in and will be stationary until they are needed.

If SHTF and I have to carry multiple mags on a daily basis I doubt a few ounces will matter.
    Thanks for the heads-up :ingo:
