Couple of weeks ago I picked up a Romeo5 RD, 2 MOA.
Put a couple hundred rounds thru it, no issues.
Today, under a cloudy sky the RD got so weak, it was almost impossible to see.
    Any thought?
    Thanks

    Replace the battery?

That would be my first thought. Factory batteries are an unknown quality. I have had a number go down within a week. Get a duracell battery in there and see what happens. If there are still problems join the line and send it back to Sig. I realize it is most likely made by Holosun and overall their stuff is pretty good for Chinese junk, but it is still cheap for a reason.

Has the rifle/ optic been stored at home, or has it been a truck / trunk gun? The Romeo 5 has a shake awake feature that is pretty sensitive.

Odd, this was mentioned. I bought a Romeo 5 from Joe Bobs and the battery died on it in a week. Replaced it and it’s been running strong for over 6 months now. Must’ve had a bad batch of batteries.

Bought a four pack of batteries this morning. Installed one, no difference.
Called Sig, spent an half an hour on hold and gave up...never talked to a live person.
Sent them an email....we shall see what kind of support they have concerning their product.

Sounds like the issue is beyond batteries, but I can attest that there are some bad batteries out there.

Recently purchased Duracell CR2032's from Amazon. 1st one ran down awful quick. Put the next one on the v-meter before install - 2.7v. :xmad:

I have some Amazon Basic's to try next. They are showing 3.2v out of the package.

Strange. But, I had a similar experience with a burris ff3. One day it was perfect. The next day, nothing.

but i sent mine in and just a few days later they sent me a brand new one, no charge.
