These are the bullets for reloading made by Star Bullets, formally of Indy (out of business). They are swaged (soft) bullets for target shooting. What may appear like defects in the bullets or corrosion is actually Star's white "match" lube. These are .452", 185 grain semi-wadcutter lead hollow point. They have proven to be exceptionally accurate out of a match 1911 out to 50 yards. They are not for maximum charges, although I've loaded them with 4.6 grains of Alliant Bullseye (850 fps?), with good accuracy and no leading. Having said that they do better with milder target loadings. I have long retired from the bullseye pistol game and no longer load these very often. I have several thousand available in unopened boxes. They have been stored in a dry, cool environment, elevated on wooden pallets. I am asking $85.00 face-to-face per 1,000. Each unopened box contains 500 bullets.
