I just left wal-mart on County line road & Emerson ave. on Indy southside, they had over 25 boxes of WWB .40 S&W 165 gr. fmj target/range 100 count boxes for $28.97, over 30 boxes WWB 9mm fmj 100 round count for $19.97, about 12 boxes WWB .45 auto, 100 round count for $29.97, some .38 and lots of .22 ammo, I bought some .40s, just thought I would pass along, I had to hunt someone down though to open the locked case!

Gander Mtn. in Castleton has plenty of everything. Can't believe prices have gone up so much in such a short time. They never go back down either.

5.56, 7.62x51 and 9mm were free back in '86..... oh wait, that was tax payer financed.... ;) I dont recall ammo prices until '89 since I really didnt buy any. I do know that I should have bought all the Class III back then!!!

Road trip coming..... and I can check 2 other WallyWorlds on the way.

    Thanks for the tip,

Actually, mid-'80's ammo prices were about what they are today. Now, if you're talking mid to late '90's, Claflin used to blow ammo out at the 1500 at unbelievable prices. I miss him, his ammo, and those days. Often got 7.62x51 surplus at 12-15¢ a round, 9mm at 10¢ a round, 7.63x39 at 8-10¢ a round. Ahhhhhh.....

    Class 3, I passed up a $3000 BAR around '95, dammit.

    The deal

For the last 3-4 years Midsouth Shooters Supply has had the best deal on .17 HMR. As of 5 minutes ago Hornady 17 gr VMax is still $9.99. I order it a brick (10 boxes) at a time and shipping is less than the cost of one box! Order it right now, it will be at your door Wednesday or Thursday. You do have to have proof of age on file with them. Scanned my driver's license and emailed it to them. Prices do keep going up, though. A few months ago it was $9.96. :D
