Any increase in pressure will shorten the life of the pistol by a few thousand rounds; just keep that in mind. The main concern I would have is increased slide velocity. Run a couple, few mags through. If it chokes, +P is not for that gun. Take a look at the new(ish) Gold Dot Short Barrel loads. Performance is awesome from barrels less than 4".
