    That is ridiculous. I found 40 two days in a row at different stores for just under $20/50rds. One store still had 6 boxes when I left, the other had over 10.

    What a boner..

    I guess, though, stuff is worth what you want for it. I was wandering around Wallyworld and stopped to see if they had any ammo this afternoon. The young man at the counter said they didn't have much - he was looking for ammo himself! Said he was looking for .45 ACP for his new 1911, and that a guy earlier had sold him a box for $50 bucks.. showed it to me, even, Remington FMJ in some really old packaging..

    That's the way to do it - buy the ammo, THEN the firearm that uses it!! ;)

    Fishersjohn, I bet you could trade the .40 that you've got for some other kind of ammo..

    $64 per box of forty at Gander in Greenwood. $50 for a box of 38spec. I just walked out in shock. What has it come to when the gun is the cheap part of the hobby?
