I just found ZQI ammo on sale for .35 cents a round. I have never used this ammo.

They say that it is the same thing as green tip. It is made in Turkey. They say Turkish, I have never heard of Turkish so I assume they meant Turkey. They say it is made to M885 standards.

Any way, have you used it? Is it any good? Is it the same as green tip?

One place has it for $ 425 for 1200 rounds. I want to order it but I don't know anything about it.

Thanks for any information you can offer.

I "tested" the ZQI 7.62x51 "M-80" and found that it had no notable difference in performance over 69 stamped Canadian M-80.
I also tried the perfecta brand 147grain FMJ and it too had little to no difference in performance.

"Testing" was done at 200 yards with a NM M1A.
No chronograph readings were done, but all held decent groups at the same zero.

Take it for what it's worth.

Are you ordering from ZQI or from somewhere else?
I saw that the ZQI website has IMI ammo too. I'm kind of interested to see how that stuff is.

I've had good luck with it in my M4 build, had decent groups while I was zeroing my scope. I bought a bunch before Walmart went soft.

Sawi a metal .50 cal ammo box filled with 1200 rounds of 9mm ZQI for $499 at Walmart, Coldwater Road, FWA yesterday. Tempting, but I left it there. With the elections coming it might be worth stocking up.

For reals? That is $0.42/round and a horrible price

Exactly!! That would be like paying $20 for a box of 50 rounds.

That is why I left it on the shelf. The metal ammo can makes the price a bit better. Cans go for $18 retail around here. Also the NATO around is more expensive than WWB. This eases the price a bit, but I still left it on the shelf.

Is that the white box 124 gr NATO rounds or the orange and black box 123gr NATO Specs version in the can?

I have only shot the 123gr orange and black box version because the white was even more expensive when they had it by the box.

The cheaper stuff shot fine, even had a little zip to it. As well as green sealer on the primers

Just picked up a ammo can of ZQI at Walmart the other day. I think that it was originally over $400 for the 720 rounds. They had it marked to $180.
