Is 7.62x51mm L2A2 Ball Surplus Ammo from Malaysia good/safe?

At less than 40 cents a round for brass cased 308 M80 spec ammo it almost seems too good to be true. I'd be running this in an M1A scout and want to make sure my gun isn't going to blow up in my face.

Pay attention to whether it's Boxer or Berdan primed. I've seen surplus 7.62x51 in both. Berdan is often corrosive, so you need to jump on cleaning your rifle, and it makes reloading an ordeal.
