Tinkering around today and decided to give this a go.
I loaded 18 grains of 3F Goex into my cases. This allowed for slight powder compression with a 200 grain SWC bullet with a half jacket applied.
These loads were intended for my 5-1/2" Ruger New Model Vaquero.
Across the chronograph, I was getting right at 700 fps. Would be a good round for putting meat in the pot in a SHTF scenario.

Litebow, that was a volumetric measure.

Thanks. Back in the late 70s, or early 80s, when I shot bowling pin matches at Brownsburg, there was always a British guy that shot the pins with a 45 revolver loaded with black powder. It was quite entertaining for everyone.
