Rifle or pistol and how old?

My basic is 9 grains of 2400 under a 115 grain RNFP.

It's a very versatile cartridge, with a Winchester 1892 you can get pretty powerful loads.

Get a Redding profile crimp die if you don't have one already.

Oh yeah... late night question, minor lack of details.. lol
I'll be shooting a rechambered australian martini cadet.
I'll have to see the bore size for maximum accuracy, but this will be a starting place.
When i get it home from layaway i'll get a better picture, but I can load up a hundred or so for now..
Thanks for the recipe, sounds good to me.
    Thanks!!

Both 32-20 and 44-40 have thinner brass in the neck and take a little more care in reloading, that said they do seal well when shooting. The Redding profile crimp die is worth it's weight in gold with these sort of cartridges.

I have loaded many with TB. Mostly 120 gr bullets. They are for my 1906 winchester 1873. They are mild but good. 2.3 almost fills the shell because of the heavier bullet.

I’ve shot quite a bit of 115’s over 4.5gr unique. I have shot some of the same over 9-11gr of 2400 with good success as well. I tried out some HS-6 loads last year and found them to shoot very well also.

I remember reading years ago about how the .32-20 was very close to half to case capacity and half the bullet weight of .45 Colt and a good starting point for trying new powders is to find a similar .45 load and cut it in half. I shot some loads with Lil Gun in my SAA clones and while snappy, they shot really well!

I found the other boxes of ammo I’d loaded up. I used 6.0gr of HS-6 under a 115 rnfp. It shot well in my USFA 7 1/2” SAA and my Husqvarna single shot rifle.

I have two loads that are working great for me in my T/C handgun with 115 gr LRNFP coated:

    2.5 gr Trailboss (725fps from 10" barrel)
    3.5 gr HP-38 (955fps from 10" barrel)

I will sometimes use 3.5 gr Titegroup. It is in the 850fps range and accuracy is nearly as good as the HP-38 load. I use a mild crimp and CCI 500 primers. I was just out yesterday shooting golf ball sized rocks at 50 yards with an 80% hit rate. I still need work on my precision handgun skills, but I am pretty sure the load is up to the task.
