Found a weird empty cartridge

My boy found 5 of these this past weekend and the IDPA match I was at. I assume they are a paint type training ammo like Simunations, but I can't find anything with the bottleneck at the bottom. There is no headstamp. I took the picture with a 147 gr. 9mm HST for comparison. 38 sp maybe?

Any ideas?

Nevermind. I just figured it out. The bottom goes up into the case. It's just a regular 9mm.

I believe simunitions looks similiar to that regardless

Yea it’s 9mm simunition. The bottom of the case pops out when fired to cycle the action.
