Reload pistol ammo but haven't reloaded shotshells in years. Looking at reloading 28 ga for my grandson. As I estimate the cost per shell( mostly using an avg of online prices) I got to lead shot. Is it true that a 25# bag can cost between $43 and $51? Unless I miscalculated that would be over 90 cents per shell for a 7/8 oz load. This would make reloading prohibitive.

Anyone know what Indiana Gun Club is charging for lead shot?

    Advice appreciated.:):

Reclaimed shot work pretty well for casual target loads in my experience - I am not a good enough wing shot to really see the difference:)

I had a bunch of hulls and thought about filling them back up.

I priced out shot.... went back out to the garage and dumped the hulls in the appropriate **** can.

Makes no sense. Maybe if you're a shot gun guy and shoot a ton and have crazy mythical clay busting loads you must have...:dunno:

Me I keep a pump around to shoot what needs shot.
