For the past couple years I have been buying cast bullets from Matthew Dardas in Michigan. Fantastic product, and lower prices than anyone else. I recently found out that Matt closed his doors last August. :( It looks like the Missouri Bullet Company is going to be who I buy from in the future because I can't find lower prices for what I want. Their products look the same as what I was buying from Dardas. Does anyone else know where to get quality cast at great prices?

    .
I do my casting out in the barn in the front loader bucket. The steel cools molds well in the summer and any spills are contained in the bucket. I can also adjust it to any work height I want.

I looked into them, 1 1/2 times the price as Missouri Bullets.

You guys should make your own, it's worked well for me.

Been thinking about that for years. Have most of what I need. Got discouraged before I even started. Bunch of guys on Ingo said it was a dirty job and not worth the time. LOL Maybe I should start.

The only factory ammo I've bought in the last 20 yrs has been carry ammo.
I still buy rifle bullets (projectiles) and I bet the last time I bought pistol bullets my brother and I bought a 30 cal can of 9mmFMJ bullets at Knob Creek and split them about 10 yrs ago.
    We cast 9mm,38,45Colt,45apc and 44's

Give it a shot. It's a whole different hobby in itself. Lots of choices of bullet designs, mold designs, etc. Some enjoy it just as much as shooting, if not more. I started out with the Lee molds, now I like the NOE molds. I just picked up the FLT 300 smooth mold from them, haven't used it yet but that will come this spring.

It's well worth it if you look at it the right way. Approach it like another hobby instead of a chore that's taking you away from something else.
