    Anyone remember Herters primers?
I just bought a box at a estate sale that had 10 unopened boxes of 1000 primers in each box for $7.
These must be old as I have never seen herters primers and I have been reloading along time.
I will find out here shortly if there any good.

    Herters.?

I'm not sure on primers, but I know that the current Herters ammo/brass out there is a division/spin-off of S&B materials.

I did see this noted somewhere but can not remember where.
I know that the Herters cases are as tight to seat a primer with as S&B cases are.

I'm pretty sure that these cases/ammo come out of Eastern Europe..Bill.

I've got some 21 year old CCI large rifle primers I'm still using up. They are still working like they are supposed too. Proper storage is the key. The best part is. They still have the Cabelas price tag on it. $14.95 for 1000 primers. Sure wish they cost that now.

The current version of Herters is the store brand of ammo and accessories sold by Cabela's/Bass Pro. They've sold ammo under the Herters name that was made by several manufacturers besides S&B. Fiocchi, Privi Partisan, and the usual suspects in Russia among others.

Never used their primers but I miss the old Herter's catalog. Dad would always order (before online was even a thing) all our fishing supplies (hooks, swivels, sinkers, line, lures, etc.) from them in preparation for our yearly trip up to Canada.

I still have a couple of old Herters catalogs. My Dad and I used to mail order tons of stuff for hunting, fishing, and shooting. I miss them too.
