    9mm lite reloading

I am trying to recreate Hornady Critical Defense Lite 9mm for my wife and her Shield EZ 9mm. What powder is recommended to get 100gr fmj rounds to run about 1100fps, and have a mild recoil? Powder I have on hand is W231, Accurate #5, and Trail Boss. Will get other powder, just don't know what kind I should try.

    Thanks for the help.

I've I had good luck with light loads of power pistol. I kept dropping the charge until I got a stove pipe then bumped it back up .2 grains and made awesome zero recoil loads. Ymmv use at your own risk. Different pistols will require different light loads to function

I've played around with 90gr Speer GD over 6.4gr of CFE pistol. That's a hot load so work your way up like I did.
I had a 10 shot avg 1347 fps from a Taurus G2C. Accuracy wasn't the greatest but good enough for self defense out to 15 yards. 2 1/2" 5 shot groups at 15 yards. That's off a rest.

231 is going to be your best bet in my opinion. That and Bullseye can generally get stubborn autos to run with a variety of loads.
