And, they just upped it to 44.5 cents per round in the last hour....

I have switched to my M&P 15-22 for a while, its still putting rounds downrange and I have 10k of .22 left. Hopefully the 5.56 will be back to $275-300 shipped after the election. We have been here before!

40 cents a round? Seriously? The prices are getting very silly just before the election already. What is next? $1 a round for 5.56???

I'm guessing the OP is a Target Sports USA Prime member and with the 8% discount the price for 1000 is $409.50 = "40ish cents per round". TSUSA doesn't play BS games.

I see SS109 almost daily for 4 to 500 a thousand. Look harder...

And it typically goes OOS in a few hours.

3 months from now .40-.45 cents is gonna seem like it's a steal.
If your low on ammo now, and needing to buy, you weren't prepared enough.

I don't see prices coming down anytime soon, even after the election. Biden wins and, God forbid, Dems take the Senate, we're completely screwed. Trump wins expect more riots and looting. Supply wont be able to keep up with demand either way

Yep- if you're not prepared now- ouch. Sandy Hook, 2016 election. 2020 election will be interesting.
