Hi everyone I started getting into reloading and the only shop near me was Kentuckiana reloading but they closed due to the pandemic. Which sucked because they were really cool people. But I was wondering if anyone knew of some shops down around this area?

Dave's near Holland used to have quite a bit, but its been a while since I've been in there. Another place you could check and it would be closer to you is Gun World in Corydon. Been even longer since I've been in there.

Dave's gun shop south of Holland, IN has primers, bullets & powder (ask for powder).
Around the 54 MM on I-64.
Doesn't price gouge when shortages happen, prices stay reasonable.

They also have quite a bit of parts for reloading, dies & small parts for 3 or 4 brands of reloading machines, including Dillon.
Cleaners, scales, that kind of stuff, you can get pretty well outfitted if you wanted.

Nice place, but staff isn't exactly friendly and VERY opinionated, like about every small town firearms store.

Can't think of anything around Louisville...

    Thanks Sugar Creek!
I appreciate the work you did. :yesway:

There was 'Almost' a larger shooting sports store at I-64 & US 231 just north of Dale Indiana (around exit 57)...
The old 231 truck stop almost became an outdoor/hunting sports mall, but Dubois county got involved and it was just too expensive to fight the obstructions/blockages they threw down.

Somehow the religious right got involved and 'Believed' it would be a drug/porn store, peep show and cat house,
But the real reason was it wasn't going to profit the local power brokers being out of county investors trying to buy the place.
When it was a truck stop for decades it had a very sorted reputation, but that was OK since locals owned and profited from it...
Very much the 'Good Old Boy' Network in that area, and they can make it very hard for anyone from outside the little mafia they have.

It's a shame, it would have been an outdoor sports mall on par with the huge Gander Mountain or Bass Pro stores...
I saw the plans for the building, 1,200 square feet of space was supposed to be dedicated to reloading, if it would have happened.

For a short period it was a porn/book/novelty store. The cat house has always been in the parking lot.;)

I'd rather have a outdoor/gun/reloading shop than a strip joint...
Nothing against strip joints, but I get to take something home I wanted from a gun store. ;)

You can do what I do. Just drive 1hr 10 min to Shelbyville, IN to Bobcat Armament or order online through them. I usually get a list of powder/primers and call ahead. Kimball is a great dude to work with and you are supporting local business. I just purchased a Dillon RL1100 from him when no one had them in stock.

What do you have against glitter? :):

Nothing in a kid's art project...

Don't want to spend $700 on stray glitter and cheap perfume rub off...
It's like gambling, I went to get a newspaper & cup of coffee in Las Vegas, cost me $1,700 at the craps table! :(

I've done mail order with Bobcat, and intend to stop in there about a dozen times when in the area, but never worked out.
It's on my 'To Do' list...
Just no direct route from over where I live.
