I'm trying to find an accurate load for this bullet its for an AR10 1/10 twist. 20" barrel.

I tried Winchester 748 best I could get was 2.653" 5 shot group at 100yds.

Is there a good powder combo for this bullet? I've been reading that this bullet is touchy, and accuracy isn't to good. So if you use this bullet in 308 Winchester and have an accurate load please share your primer, powder combo. I would like to get this down to 1.5moa if possible.

I'm thinking of trying Tac next. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

    AR10 1/10 twist. 20" barrel.??

Not sure of a AR10 rifle, but in a bolt gun (Rem 700), IMR-4064 with most any LR primer will get you better than your Winchester 748.

I have had great results with the 4064 in most all weights (160-175gr.) in the .308's, and also the 30-06 Springfield..Bill.

Nosler has BL-C2 as their most accurate powder for 165-168gr bullets.

Thanks guys looks like I need to head back to the lgs grab a few pounds of powder to test.
I did test 1st 5 rds of tac 40.5gr it improved the group a little 2.113". I've got a lot of room yet for tac so will continue hopefully it tightens up more.

IMR4064, IMR4895 and Varget seem to be favorites. I know guys who have had luck with CFE223 in autos.

I tried tac groups are a little better but still around 2.5 moa. I I've got one more load to try with tac then its off to the lgs for some varget, BLc2 and or 4064

Last time I looked the LGS in Seymour had a couple bottles of 4064 and a couple boxes of Sierra 165 SBTs on the shelf. Who knows what is there after yesterday.

I use a 22" TC Compass in 308. It's 1/12 twist but my load is:
    165 grain SST
    41.8 grain H4895
    CCI LR primer 200
    COAL: 2.750"

I shoot MOA at 100 yards no problem. I use once fired brass that I fully resize and trim.
