LOLZZZZ... The government decided that the only thing to do is burn down a house full of explosives. Yeah, nothing could possibly go wrong there...

Where is the Cali NG EOD? Wouldn't this be the perfect job for them?

How about they get some of those guys hanging out in Coronado to come take care of it.

The environmentalist lobby in california should get involved in this to get the burn stopped.

We don't need any more carbon in the atmosphere as a result of this burn.

Think of all the harm to the ozone layer that will be caused.

Wait....... are we still concerned about the ozone layer or lack thereof? :dunno:

Since they really have no idea of what is in the house, how do they know that fires will even reach temperatures hot enough to destroy or make safe everything in the house? They could just as easily end up with an unsafe pile of rubble that is even more dangerous.

What about chemicals and poisonous fumes? this has to be the most short sighted thing I've seen in a long time. They would be better off clearing the house manually and properly disposing of the materials.

Imagine when the fire burns out and there are half-burned materials that didn't explode. That should be fun to clean up.

Imagine what happens when you start dumping water on a bunch of unmixed chemical components and make all kinds of fun aq solutions and the reactions that accompany them.

I wasn't aware that the authorities had the power to not only intentionally burn a citizens home to the ground, but to also tell that homeowner to "go pound sand" when the homeowner asks to be compensated for the fair market value of that home.
