Awesome dog! I'm definitely a fan myself.

My puppy is exactly 1 year older than Beau.

67 lbs is massive for a 4 month old! Leonidas was only 4 lbs bigger than that at 7 months and he is huge

You need to be really careful with his diet if you want him to live past 7-8 years.

I have raised GSD's most of My life. We have always had Large ones. What we my family has always called altdeutschen "Old Germans" dogs. Most of ours have lived to be in their teens...

What is allowing Beau to develop so well is partially the fact that he was from a litter of only two...

Leonidas is A very Handsome Dog! Weird about being 1 year apart in birth...

Thanks. I'm scrambling to find his papers, but I'm almost positive he is exactly 365 days older(unless I'm wrong and he was born on the 5th).

    Beau's paws are sick!

What is sick is when he is next to my female GSD that is almost 6 years old...
She only out weighs him by 3 pounds...

Haha, that is funny. How is she taking to the new puppy?

BTW, why did you get him so late(4 months opposed to 6-8 weeks)?

    That is freaky man!!!
    Cool though! :yesway:

Yeah that is weird. Oct. 3 must be a good day for badass GSDs.:D

How big is Beau supposed to get?

So far so good... She has been around him most of his life. Just when we were out at my Mothers Kennels though. So it should not be to bad.
My dog on the other hand is the one I am more nervous about with him, he is a Choc Lab mix.

He has been out at my Mother's Kennels and we decided I need to have him at my house to teach him to be a Responsible dog...

His Mother crosses the pad at 85 pounds and his Sire was a 105 pound GSD...

I am guestimating that Beau should be around the 120'ish mark as an adult GSD...

Wow, those numbers are almost identical to Leo's parents. The breeder told me that when Leo is all grown up, he should easily be able to hold 115 lbs, but I'm not sure I want him that big. My last GSD(R.I.P Zeus) was around 90 lbs and he lived to be almost 15.

I'm thinking 100-105 lbs will be a good, healthy number for him.

I really think he is going to naturally be above 120...
Without pushing to "grow" his weight...

I have only had 1 GSD that compares to this one in size. And Rex is just turning 16 this year. I had to sell him in '98 to a friend of mine when I got transferred to Germany...

Love me a GSD. I'll avoid the temptation of turning this into a dog pic thread with a million pics of my solid black shepherd. haha
btw, those are some massive German Shepherds!
