Though they are often demonized (both here and elsewhere), there are some damn good officers in the State Police. My thanks tonight goes out to the officer who instead of giving me the reckless driving ticket I so clearly deserved gave me an escort to the hospital after hearing my story (mom fell and cracked her head. Needed 15 stitches).

So to all of those serving and protecting now and before, my thanks and God bless.

When I first started (just a couple of yesr ago) it was trained into their mind that they were a better law enforcement agency. Over the years they have been a lot better to work with and a pleasure to be around. They want to help us and we want to help them. No problems here with them.

It is really nice to hear about the good encounters with LEOs. We don't hear that often enough. I know that the vast majority of LEO's are good respectful people. I have had but one encounter with a LEO while carrying and it was very positive.

    +2 for ISP from me

Had 2 run-ins with seperate officers and both we not only courteous and professional, but were understanding of my situations. Wish I had their names and badge numbers to send a good report for them.

That's an old trick.I also have my mom on the back of my car when speeding and when the police pull me over I hit her with a brick to get away from the ticket.

Hope your mom is ok and plus 1 to the officer.
