Who plays with paracord?

I made my first survival bracelet last night and I think it turned out ok. I did the knot and hole closure as I did not have a buckle. I went with the cobra knot. Needless to say, I have nice blisters on both middle fingers from pulling it tight though.

Anyhow, anyone have any tips or use any different knots on their bracelets? Anyone have any know how on making anything else? Hook a brother up! I want to dabble in anything paracord. I found a hammock design I might try in the near future.

I found a bunch of snap buckles at a Dollar Tree, too back they were on small dog collars, but buying them elsewhere was a bit higher and I didn't want to wait.

I found the side release buckles here locally in Indy. Landwerlen Leather Co - Indianapolis

They were like $0.80 and $0.70, dependent upon the size. They had 1/2" up to belt buckle size, iirc.

If I can not find it a the gund shot or between shows, I normally order from u-braid-it . Braiding Supply Co. quality braiding materials for horse tack. May not be the cheapest around, but I've always gotten good service. Lots of color choices. -- Greg

I made a cobra bracelet and a couple square keychains last night. The keychains are a good place to start: Paracord Lanyard Weaving I ended up putting a knot at the top with a little loop that will connect to the keyring.

Not sure about prices but Bradis II in Camby has about every color you can think of
