Is it just me or are people that try to be overly nice bug anyone else. I understand they are trying to give good customer service but to me it kind of feels like it takes the sincerity out of it. I've been accused of having a bland personality but damn. Rant off.

Meh, I like nice people, I don't care if it's fake or not, so long as they aren't rude or disrespectful while they are doing it.

I like nice people. I believe the term often used to describe folks around here is "Hoosier Hospitality". The fact that nice people make people upset says more about the lack of civilty in current culture rather than any negative about folks being nice.

I tend to be overly nice until I get really pissed, then I flip a quick 180*. I need to work on that middle ground.

This has to be the greatest thread I have ever had the good fortune to see, let alone post in.

The command of the English language, sentence structure, and essence that
Outlaw used is indeed breathtaking and bordering on, dare I say it,
a Shakespearian level of quality, competence, importance and passion.

Angels sing songs about things like this.... it is truly magical and I am a better person for having experienced it.
I have a tingle running up my leg. Well done Sir... well done. :rockwoot:

You should see the struggles most elementary school kids go through when confronted by irony and sarcasm. Their little faces betray the turmoil in their tiny minds as they try to fit perversity into a world that's so far included only wholesomeness and encouragement. Sometimes I wish I actually liked children; it would make many things so much easier.

I'm not sure what overly nice means. Here in the Southern part of our great state, it's
very common for female cashiers and the like to call you "hun" or other such name.
And they say it with a smile and look you in the eye. .... I like it.
    I can't hep it.
