I'm cleaning my gun, and not out of necessity, but out of boredom. It's a calming thing I'm I sure more here know.

Full Metal Alchemist (Brotherhood) is on my big screen, Google+ and a conversation in German in the other tab. Pinterest is up somewhere too...

I have a good one about a friend of mine named Jed.

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

Well the first thing you know ol Jed's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Jed move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.

Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars.

True story...... My hand to God.

I went out to see him and stayed with them for a while.

Then it was time to say good by to Jed and all his kin.
And they said "thank you" fer kindly droppin in.
I've been invited back a gain to that locality
To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality

    Hillybilly that is.
I sat a spell, took my shoes off.

And they said, "Y'all come back now, y'hear?".

    Good times. Good times.

There once was a gal from Nantucket...Ah forget it....It will never get past the mods...:D

Actually here is a little Candadian story telling. In the 70's I would carry around a little transistor radio tuned to WAKY 790 hoping for a chance to hear this song again. It's a very good story.
