Well I'm in Mishawaka for the next 3 months for work, working midnight shift so I have some time to waste in the afternoons. What is there to do way up here? I did see a gun shop right down the street, I'll probably check it out one day, but I'm up here to make the cheddar, not spend it on toys. Lol so I don't want to spent too much time in there.

Anyone live up here and have some recommendations? Most anything has got to be better then sitting in the hotel all day.

While I prefer to do business with our local guys, this store is like a jewelry store for men. Lots of selection and good prices. Some have found their sales staff to be less then friendly but that has never been as issue to me. Worth checking out even if you are not buying.

You also might want to take a tour of Notre Dame as I understand they are Co-Ed now:):

Yes, for Granger Guns. Nice place on the Mishawaka side. If you need a place to eat, can't go wrong with the Grape Rd and Main St areas in Mishawaka. Everything is there that you could want.
Kodiak range is on the South Side, great place to relax.
Yes, to Lunkers for a like-Cabelas experience.
Downtown SB has the College Football Hall of Fame for a little bit longer if you are into that.
Gotta check out ND if you are a first timer to the area.
    Have fun!

Also.. Blue Chip and Four Winds casinos are not too far away. And it is about 45 mins or so to the Lake.. if you want some beach atmosphere.

If you ever find yourself having a night to go out on the town, Smiths Bar and Grill is always a good place to be on a Saturday Night.

But UP Mall on Grade Rd in Mishawaka is a good place to get really anything if you need it.

Notre Dame is a good place to visit, also there is a really big Chocolate Store in downtown south bend, and last but not least Trios Jazz Club is pretty good place

Sometimes the Morris has really good shows.

And don't forget, Gary is nearby if you want some live fire practice. Just follow the direction the worst smells are coming from and you'll find it.
