Why is it that when the bad guy is cornered and empties his 38 at Superman, the bullets bounce off his chest ...but when the bad guy throws the empty gun at him, he ducks out of the way?!

I strongly suspect that, unbeknownst to us mere mortal Earthlings, there are trace amounts of Kryptonite embedded in the gun that would render Superman helpless if it were to make contact with him!!!

Why is it that Male superheroes always have a form-fitting body suit with disproportionately-enhanced body parts (can you say "codpiece"?) but Female superheroes are so scantily clad that not even an extra Kleenex would fit into those costumes?

I think it's because the gun is heavier than the bullets and it could really mess his hair if he gets hit in the head.

I don't know. Why is it that the Foglios still make really drawn-out and pointless comics?

How many licks does it truly take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

    The world may never know.

Did you ever see Superman use a gun?

    No?

Obviously a gun hating liberal - he thinks they are icky.

    Yep.

You prefer their previous works, maybe?

Besides, I love this long, drawn out, Steampunk feast for the eyes. Note my new avvie.

Oh hell, I just got drawn in to a tangential off-shoot of the thread. I hated Xenophile. And Buck Godot. I followed Girl Genius until it became apparent that it was deliberately being drawn out and expanded on for the sole purpose of selling more books - can't blame them but I certainly don't have to indulge them. Myth Adventures was awesome, but they didn't illustrate the entire series. Also, your avatar was specifically why I mentioned the Foglios. (See what I did there?):):

Also, it's quite all right, we have better uses for Superman than to worry about his making public policy:

Sorry to break this to you, but blanks are one thing. That heavy gun would knock Clark Kent into next week. No No No No NO. He is showing off for Lois Lane. His manly dance moves.

So... if Supes got bitten by both a Lycan and a Vampire, and we all know he'd survive bites from both species, which mag do you reach for first?

I suggest molding silver hollow points with particularly deep cavities, placing kryptonite in the bottom and wood on top of that so you have an all-purpose round for the occasion!
