Does anyone know of a source of counsel and guidance for emotional survival of divorce?

The ways to cope with divorce are as varied as the causes of divorce. I agree with the above poster that the bible is a good source for guidance, but if you arent religious or have a good understanding of the scriptures perhaps you should consult a good pastor or preacher. Many of them have had counseling training, and many of them will not counsel you in a manner of evangelism.

Get out and do stuff! Stimulate your mind with new sights and sounds because if you sit around long enough your thoughts will always go back to the divorce. just keep yourself busy.

I was told a trip to Amserdam does a newly divorced male wonders and most likely will cost less than the divorce.

It also works wonders after the divorce is final as a maintance of ones mental stability and to help you from making the same mistake twice.

I may not be the best at giving advise.
