Help posting pics

I've tried to figure it out, but from the clickable tabs above a post input, I can't figure it out. The one that says insert image then asks for a url link. I've never had problems posting on a forum, but this one has me baffled. I will now accept all insults, ridicule and general abuse as long as someone tells me what i'm missing

upload your photos to photobucket.com or similar hosting site, when they are uploaded there, they should have a box that says image url... post that url in the box you speak for INGO and you should better luck.
