You know you have a list. Those words or phrases that you Hate to see or hear. Here's mine ... what's yours?

    WORDS
    - Plethora - I don't know why
    - Guru - Come on, someone may be knowledgeable but GURU? Seriously.
    - Seriously - Not a bad as before but overused.
    - Anal - as in, "I'm so anal about cleaning." COME ON.... Anal?? Why would you describe yourself that way?

    PHRASES:
    - What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - BS: I've seen war vets in rehab NOT stronger and NO, not even in their character.
    - God helps those who help themselves - That quote is not in the Bible people.

I hate the word "synergy" in the business setting. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

To play off your list... "Pain is weakness leaving the body." Bet you'd hate that one too, huh?

"You can't have your cake and eat it, too."
Um...YES, you can. That's why the correct saying is "You can't EAT your cake and have it, too".

Hate to hear/read "I seen it". It's either "I have seen it" or "I saw it"...not "I seen".

Honorable mention goes to "Irregardless". Ugh. I don't care if they're editing the dictionary.

    YES!
    And
    "No Pain No Gain"

Listen. I've seen those gym monkeys in rehab. They are NOT experiencing 'Pain" during their workouts, but "stong exertion". Just see what happens when one of them drops a weight on their toe. The bigger they are, the bigger babies (I hate to say that, being a guy and all, but I'll take a woman patient for, say total knee rehab, over a guy any day - women are tough!)

    the word 'got'.
as in, i've got. irks to me to no extent. its redundant. proper use would be 'i have' in that circumstance but hate it in general unless its used as a true verb.

    "I have a theory...."

Unless you have spent countless hours and money testing this no you don't
    You have a hypothesis.

Oh, also Xmas in place of Christmas...

I have a lot but those two are near the top
