Have you discovered this brewery? Saw their product for the first time today at Meijer. Looks like they started business sometime late last year. Located in downtown Indy, just South of Michigan St., between Pine St. and Oriental St. (just East of I-65.) Website says they have a taproom open on Th, Fr, Sa, Su to sample their beers.

Trying their Pogue's Run Porter tonight. If you're a real Indy buff, you know that Pogue's Run is the name of the creek that runs into downtown from the East side of Indy. This porter is 5.5 ABV and....it's ok. Not great and not bad. Chocolate overtones but a way too bitter after-taste for me. At $11.19 a 6-pack, probably won't be trying it again.

I actually like the Porter. However, my favorite local Indianapolis brews are Indiana Amber from Oaken Barrel and WeeMac from SunKing. I want to try Black Acre Brewery on East Washington St in Irvington, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

If you're after another Indy-area Microbrewery, there's Planetary Brewing in Greenwood.

They have a rotating "stock", if you will, of 4 different styles. Friday-Sunday tap room tastings. Growler sales, too.

I've been in to taste twice, but as of yet, I've not found anything that I like. (I seem to be a wheat/fruit beer kind of guy. And I wasn't at all impressed with their wheat offering)

Flat 12 has been all over the craft beer stores for the last year. I can't say that I've found one that I like, though. They tend towards bitter which isn't really my thing.

"Flat 12" meant something. It had ties to Indiana. It was inspired.

"Rad Brewing Company" is just... dull.
