Reason I'm asking: A former college roommate of mine was recently sworn in with IMPD and is currently training. I PRESUME he's at the ILEA...

Was just wondering if anyone here instructs there - who can maybe "punk" him with some "inside information" that'll leave him wondering how in the world one of his instructors would know...

We have our own academy. I think phylodog is the only one of us on here that is an instructor. "Punking" recruits isn't really a common practice however.

It is at ILEA, especially if you've posted videos of yourself on Youtube that they find out about. We had several who ended up coming to the stage for a performance.

With the way things are going right now I doubt it. Some of the training staff was reprimanded because a cuss word was used and butthurt (from an adult, veteran officer) ensued. We can't do anything that might hurt someones feelings.

I'm one of the combatives instructors as well as a CrossFit trainer for the academy. I work the street full-time but I come across the recruits from time to time.
