    For our sixth anniversary.

Really - I did. It matches the cast iron skillet I got her for her last birthday.

Yes - I am "that guy" who buys "those types of gifts".

(She brought home a waffle iron from her mom's house a few weeks ago - so I didn't have to buy her one of those for the anniversary!)

Anyhow - *I* was the first one to use the bacon press.

It's actually a bit overkill as a bacon press - it's more of a sandwich / steak sear press, but oh well.

My wife asked me how it worked.

    I said "gravity".

Apparently that was the wrong answer.

I just can't win. Or learn, apparently.

I bought my wife a vacuum for her birthday or something, I thought it was practical as we needed one anyway. I don't think she's ever used it, if she has it's only been once or twice, so my daughter or I vacuum. I may have to get her a press too, she likes bacon, I do too.

:n00b: Cooking bacon might be the easiest thing in the world. No gadget required.

    You're right. No gadgets required.

I was going for the whole "You seriously got me a cast iron bacon press for our anniversary?" thing.

    It worked!

And she did like it... 6th Anniversary IS the "Iron Anniversary" you know...
