Please, please, please continue to ride without helmets!

My dad has just gone onto the "active" list for a kidney transplant...and the sooner the better!

Just to play devil's advocate/give my own story; my dad dies in a motorcycle accident while wearing his helmet. No helmet doesn't mean death in an accident, and a helmet won't always save your life.

BUT still wear your helmet. Don't be stupid. There are too many good brands making helmets that will cater to anyone who rides. And if you still refuse, come to my house and I will even give you my old helmet if it fits you.

I never wear a helmet. NEVER!!!!
And if jello sees fit to let me be a donor, so be it.
Some things we do in life are dangerous. Where I used to work was dangerous.
If the almighty jello wants me to donate a kidney to your pops, a helmet isn't going to stop him.
But I do not ever tell people not to wear a helmet.
This is 'Murica!!! BTW, do you wear a helmet while driving your car? . . Why not? Would be safer.

I can't wear a helmet due to broken vents in my neck. Quit riding? Why?? It's called free will. Look it up. It's right beside freedom. Let those who ride decide.

OP, good luck to your dad, I hope he gets the kidney he needs soon!

As for helmets, it's a personal choice, wear them or don't. With that said, if you have kids or others who depend on you, I think it's selfish and irresponsible to not wear a helmet, but it is certainly still your choice to make as it should be.
