Why do you collect that particular item? How did you get started?

How do you store/display your collection?

Dragons. Glass ones, metal ones, stone ones, resin ones... No pics because most of them are packed in a box.

I collect vintage toys from the 60's to 80's. I keep them in a corner curio cabinet.

Alcohol. Over 100 bottles and most unopen. Started with a trip to see makers mark.

Tools and electronic components. Not really display items. Vintage naked women pictures, Rogue and Jem magazines among others, probably best not to display too prominently, being MWC and all Oh, and I tend to collect a lot of dust.

Coffee mugs, I collect them on vacation. I set them on top of the edge of the kitchen cabinets.

I work installing natural gas mains and services. We're always digging up old bottles so I started saving them. I do a lot of work in residential areas so I find lots of old change I pick up, save the old stuff. Last year I found a 1913 nickel.
I also pick up any marbles I see, I put those inside one of the old milk bottles.
I've got a bunch down in the mancave, and a bunch in the garage.

I don't collect anything. I am a minimalist and try to keep only the things I use on a regular basis.

I collect ships, whether statues, paintings, etc. I also collect coins and rocks from every country I visit.

I am kind of a collector of fine junk. Nothing in particular that I can think of. One thing that is an odd collection. Since I work in the garage a lot. I use some spray cans. I opened up one of the paint spray cans years ago and in almost all of them the rattle is a marble. Maybe a chunk of steel, pretty rare, but almost all are marbles. So I have a jar with marbles and a few chunks of steel. Got to be couple hundred marbles by now.

Coins, chicken figurine/decorations that go in my kitchen and drive my daughter crazy, cats (or maybe they just find me) and recipes/cookbooks.

Not really collecting cats and the number is going down as they age, but I tell people that when they ask why we have so many. People have finally quit dumping them on me.
