What type of 50 cal? M2 machine gun or Barrett?
    Where is the Dallas MRAP?
Shooter is mentally ill with a history of violence. Why does he possess firearms in the first place?

Crap, I didn't get it in time. My first post was going to be IBKAHIUN (In before Kirk asks his INGO user name).

So what about the cops glasses? Some serious 1950's swag there.

Has this been resolved yet, from the story it doesn't look that way.

It was described as a .50 rifle, some I'm guessing a Barrett.

Yeah, but Denny already took the "justified militarization route", so I'd like to know if this is a controlled machine gun or your ordinary, run of the mill $5000 Barrett.

Man sounds like no one knows exactly what happened especially the media! The reporting and what you see in the article is even wrong... However, the dude who the got seems like a real loon, and I am glad no one was hurt!

You can't buy that shooter-vehicle at your local dealership, that's for sure.

.50 BMG would definitely interfere with the operation of an internal-combustion engine. My thought was, were they sure there was enough engine to stop the round?

Sounds more like it was already stopped and surrounded when they "disabled" it, it probably wasn't going anywhere anyway.

I don't care if it was stopped on its own or not. Disabling a van full of **** heads who are attacking police was absolutely the right call. Doing it safely from a distance with 800 grains of love is completely reasonable.
