So, now that FordManChris seems to be out of the woods with his little shooter, I can announce without any guilt that the Little Missus and I are expecting our first.

Took us 6 years of shots, and blood draws, and drama, finally giving up and getting a dog, and discussing adoption.... Surprise! We're having a baby.

Already found out that it's a boy and we're at 26 weeks today... I'm overjoyed... and already pricing Crickets and deciding how soon I can get him started.

    Awesome!
Same story here. Tried for 6 years. Notta. Then towards the end of the adoption process. Boom. One on the way.

Word of caution (maybe). Kid number 2 seems to come a lot easier after the first.

    GOOD WORK!

Hopefully another generation is taught right.
Not being told they are bad because they own guns, like now.

Congrats man that's awesome! I thought this was going to be a thread about another poster self destructing over in GenPol.

    Kut did come back today.......

Congrats. We went through many of the same issues before our first. As noted previously, the second (or in our case, second, third, and fourth) happened much more easily.

The thread title had me thinking as the others were...that someone was going down!

Congratulations!!! As others have said, your life will be forever changed.

As you see from reading between the lines above, children can be challenging. Now that I am a grandparent, I see that the wife and I survived and the kids turned out really well.
Oops... Now I recall how "difficult" I must have been as a kid.

All that to say (clumsily) raising kids can be challenging and highly rewarding. Congratulations.
