He also played the character "Shepard Book" on Firefly. One of my favorite actors.

I never knew he was from Evansville. So not only have we lost two great actors in the past few days but Indiana natives as well.

he graduated from the university of Evansville, was a big supporter of their theatre program, was a huge supporter of the African American museum here, and as a sad fact, his mother was murdered here (in Evansville)

in light of the last fact, he was still proud to be from here.

I'm not into celebrity, never have been.
Must confess, losing these people, feels like a loss of my youth.
I watch those old Carol Burnett and Johny Carson infomercials and it's sad to see so many gone.
You forget about them, see the shows and are happy to be reminded .........and then bummed at knowing they're gone.
Add Mr. Glass to the list :(

I'm the same way. Never been a big star stuck celebrity fan type. These kinda things happening bring me back to a different place in time and remind me of other things I had going on in my life back then as well. They certainly do jar the memory and give pause for reflection. I think I'm getting old.
