The Patrouille de France (French version of the Blue Angels) is traveling all over the US for the first time in 30 years.

They flew over NYC city. They will fly over Washington DC on the 27th.

Their trip will briefly have them fly over Indiana too.

The planes received a special paint job for their US tour.

Sure hope they have good crowd control. These guys' history vs people on the ground isn't so good over the years. These French pilots seem to think you can just waive the white flag mid flight and give up yolo style.

Pretty cool, the photo of French Planes flying over the Statue of Liberty. The U.S. was given that as a gift from France. I`m a nervous wreck when flying, but flying, and military jets in particular, as very, very cool.

No idea what you're talking about.
They are some of the best pilots in the world.
The fact that the US will allow 10 foreign military pilots to fly fighter jets at such a low altitude above NYC and Washington DC tells you how good and trusted they are.

That's awesome Sylvain! Those look like some sort of close air support jet. It would be nice to see more of this. I know our demonstration teams are busy, but it would be cool to send them on a NATO goodwill tour, as well as have our allies demonstrate here.

Our teams go over seas sometimes and we host furriners, most often the Canadian Snowbirds since they are so close by. These are Alpha Jets, a trainer or light attack craft. They are cute. :) I would MUCH rather they sent Rafale's. Those are serious aircraft and I would love to see in person what they can do with that canard.

They are light attack Alpha jets from the 70's.
They are only used for demonstrations by the PAF (Patrouille de France) and as a trainer for new pilots.

They are travelling with an Airbus A 400M (cargo plane) as well.
