    The kids have outgrown their playset and I have visions of grandeur for a parkour/challenge course possibly with climbing net, grown-up monkey bars, and other good exercise stations (box jumps, vertical elements).

    No, money does not grow on trees, so this would be a long term tinkering project (and finding stuff cheap)...

    Surely, I'm not the only dad out there who has an idea such as this?

    We built a 16' climbing wall with two faces, one has an outward lean for the top half. It also has a rope climb on it. We also have a zip line.

    i have a telephone pole I want to do something with too. I thought about a few more poles and making a monkey bar setup

    How about ninja warrior obstacles? There are a lot of people with homemade courses on the show.
