Yeah. I wouldn't have been NEARLY that calm. Probably would've been a mistake to get agitated, but dang... that's freaky.

How are other people seeing the picture?
I tried Chrome, Firefox, and then IE, but it all looks the same.

The last few frames tell the story.
There are at least 20 bears down in the river, catching fish or whatever they do, and it seems one of them got a little curious.
That also kind of explains why he was so calm.
I imagine he was there to photograph the bears.
It wasn't like YOW! A BEAR!
It was more of a uh oh, one of the dozens of bears, less than 50 yards away, is coming closer.

Apparently this happened 3 years ago... I couldn't get the video at the link to plan so I went to youtube and searched, the video there was published June 2014.

It's a clickbait story meant to bring traffic to their site by writing news stories on YouTube videos. Great idea really. I mean it had Alaska and animals so you know it's a slam dunk.

WNIT/PBS aired an episode of Nature this week showing a bear that size laying down 20 some feet from the videographers and falling asleep on the McNeil's banks. The salmon seemed to be more than plentiful at the time.

He looks so cute and cuddly when he yawns. It's tough to remember he's a big furry murder machine should he choose to change gears. At least while watching the video, I'm pretty sure murder machine would have been my more prominent thought if I were actually there.

For some reason I can't get the video on the OP link. Found it on YT.

I'd probably be in trouble. First thought was to hand it a cold one.

    Thanks for the link.
Finally watched the video, and that old boy easily tips the scales at 600 lbs plus, maybe upwards of 800.
What a gorgeous coat, and it's fortunate that he didn't decide to chomp on Mister Cameraman.
I'd still definitely need a change of skivvies after that.
