First responders determined that Moran was deceased.

I read about her being in bad shape a couple of months ago. The photo showing her was of a worn out old woman that had a hard life. Little resemblance to the Erin Moran I remember from the TV shows.

Not that her loss should necessarily be any sadder than that of anyone who never saw fame of any sort, but it's still too bad that this was someone I grew up watching each week on a TV show that was still pretty good right up until about the time that it quite literally jumped the shark.

We see images on the screen, say "I liked her in that" or "he's a funny guy" or "that guy pisses me off and I never want to see him again", but it's usually only when they die that we think of there being a real person attached to those images. I wasn't that fond of the Joanie character, but it wasn't all Erin was, and the character was part of a show I really liked as a kid. It sucks to see how far some can fall.

I remember having little boy crush on her when she was on Daktari back in the 1960's.....

We picked up a Kawasaki Mule the other day and while driving around the property my six years my junior bride was like, "What is that song you are singing?"

"The theme from Daktari.."

"But all you keep saying is Daktari.."

"I know...That's the song...It's in Swahili..."

"That's dumb..."

"Can we paint the Mule zebra striped?"

"No...."

"But Dakatari...."

"Don't care...Neighbors think you're weird enough as it is..."
