I spotted this guy on the beach today.
I snapped a few pictures to share with the group.
It has fallen upside down on the beach and is still mostly in one piece which is quite amazing.
There are lots of pieces of reinforced concrete and bent steel beams all around, scattered in a large area, so I assume other bunkers fell as well.
But it's hard to tell what they used to look like when they were on the top of the cliff some 75 years ago.
This one landed perfectly flat on its roof so it's easy to visit.I've seen other fallen ones that are stuck at weird angle on their side where you have no plain surface to walk on.
It's quite weird to walk on steel beams of the ceiling.
Those bunkers have fallen due to the natural erosion of the cliff.
Some huge parts of the cliff are falling once in a while, sometimes taking coastal bunkers with them.
You will have a bad day if one falls on you and your beach towel.
