And so the curtain draws closed permanently to a great band with one of the most chaotic histories of all time.
He's finally back with Skydog and making better music than ever.

Had his amazing voice blasting over my pioneer 6x9's many times in my old classic cars growing up cruising.

He he will be missed but his music will live forever.

    RIP old friend.

Since this appears to be the first posted thread, I copied and pasted my reply from the other thread below:

Dammit! We saw him in 2015, it was amazing how much his voice still sounded exactly like the original ABB recordings. Myself, and everyone sitting nearby were visibly stunned by how good he sounded. He lived a wild life, for sure, but it really sucks that he's gone. I've visited Duane and Barrys graves in Macon, guess we'll get to visit Gregg now.

Just heard the news. Allman Bros. are definitely one of my favorite bands. I knew he had been sick for a while.

I saw the Allman's once and then I saw just him as well when he was touring as the Brothers but it was just him from the originals. Saw the second band several times and frankly they were great as well.

He will be missed. I was a fan of his and wish these folks would be able to stay around as long as I want them to...
