    Yep...Honeysuckle. The birds love to eat those berries. I have a very large bush of this next to the driveway on the edge of the woods. It smells soooooo good when in bloom.

    Never give up! Don't let the foreigners win! We will cut them in the forests, we will cut them in the fields, we will cut them in the nature preserves! And we will basal-bark spray them in the winter!


    But it smells so good when it blooms....

    If this nasty stuff (it will choke whatever plants or shrubbery you have should it ever get a toehold) ever gets on your property, run down to Rural King or TSC and get a bottle of Tordon, then apply a dampened sock to a dozen or so of the leaves, being careful not to drip any on your grass or other desirable vegetation.
    The whole invading plant will be reduced to a brown husk in a matter of days that will in turn begin decaying soon after.
